This fine tenor size instrument is crafted from the best AAA Hawaiian Koa in an art deco style and inlaid with an Art Deco standing lady. The body of the instrument is all solid curly koa from Hawaii’s Big Island. It is ebony bound with Maple purfling, the string thru pinless bridge and soundhole rosette are also ebony and maple.
The neck is quarter sawn Honduran Mahogany with ebony and maple veneers on the peghead and the tuning gear are Gotoh brand planetary 4:1 ratio tuners.
The ebony fretboard is inlaid with an art deco standing lady girl who is kind of an art deco flapper-ish image inlaid with koa, pearwood, paua shell and the white parts are reclaimed ivory piano key veneers.
Its voice is loud with plenty of sustain and there is a nice even EQ across the strings. The set up and intonation is very accurate so it plays easy and it plays in tune.
The lacquer finish is super smooth and glossy. The back is arched on both axis. Attention to detail is amazing and every aspect of this fine and unique instrument is amazing.
