Not just vehicles which I’ve bought, anyone can buy a set of wheels. These are all project vehicles which I bought and then restored. My affinity is for late fifties to sixties British sports cars. This was a uniquely cool era for England’s sports-cars. Production quality and machining tolerances were little better than they were in the pre-war era, but it was a bold and fun era for the designers. I went through and put together about a dozen of the crazy things, each vehicle getting fully or partially restored. Unwisely, I spent much more energy on restoring the mechanicals of each vehicle than I did on the appearance group. Henceforth they usually weren’t money makers for me but I did have some good reliable drivers. Contrary to popular opinion British cars aren’t really unreliable. They just take an unnecessary lot of preventative maintenance to keep them from breaking down. |
