POHAKU UKULELE MODELS

Mostly I make ‘normal’ ukuleles but you’d never know it looking at this website as I am usually out of all ‘normal’ instruments for sale.
I commonly make soprano, concert, tenor and baritone size ukuleles. Typically I will build with koa or mahogany bodies with matching soundboards or soundboards made from cedar or spruce.
I also make a lovely wood body resonator instrument markedly different from other resonator instruments as it uses a spider bridge cone mechanism (as opposed to a biscuit bridge) giving the instrument a clean crisp tone that isn’t muddy and overpowering.
If you would like a new Pohaku ukulele built for you contact me by telephone or email, it doesn’t cost any extra nor does it an extraordinarily long time to get Peterhurney to make you one. And unlike many in the business your instrument will arrive on budget, when promised and with satisfaction guaranteed. Pohaku ukuleles generally surpass customer’s expectations.
