This is a tidy Martin Style 1 Soprano ukulele. Someone has repaired a side crack which ran three quarters the length of the bass side. The repair is detectable but prety good. It is hard to get the wood to match up exactly and this one misses by about six thousandths of an inch. The rest of the uke is very clean excepting for the scratch under the bridge and a small dent on the edge of the lower bout, treble side. All defects are well illustrated.She plays sweetly as most of these little Martins do. The edges, both top and bottom are bound with tortise shell edge binding and there is a white/black/white soundhole rosette. Strung with nyl-gut strings this instrument retains it's original tuners.
