One of my favorite wood combos is the maple and spruce ‘blondie’ instrument. This concert size instrument’s body is made of curly Western Big Leaf Maple and the soundboard is Sitka Spruce. The neck, attached via a neck pocket is made of Honduran Mahogany and capped with an East Indian Rosewood fingerboard with dual breasted button fretmarkers. The back of the instrument is well arched and the finish is shiny smooth and glossy.
          Spruce and Maple always makes for a bright sounding instrument. The length is approx. 24” and weighs approx. 16 ½ ozs.
