Wood: (Hawaiian Grown) Cuban Mahogany & Birds Eye Maple This is a really cool little concert ukulele. I doubled up on the high 'a' string, the pair is tuned in unison and it's great for doing those extra little accents on that string, it makes the 'a' string (obviously) louder and adds a nice little flavor to it's sound. The instrument is made of a Hawaiian grown Cuban Mahogany which is a rare and desireable member of the mahogany family. It isn't grown in the US except for a bit in Florida and in Hawaii
