Celtic Concert Ukulele

       This concert sized ukulele was requested by a customer with three specific requirements.
          Firstly he plays in the campanella style ala John King and he wanted a bell like harp quality to the sound of his uke and he wants to be able to tune it up a step. I guided him to go with a spruce & maple instrument and braced it accordingly to handle his tuning and to lend the instrument its harp like voicing.
          Secondly he collected ceramic frogs and has the initials ‘SS’ so he had the frog with the ‘SS’ feet designed which I inlaid into the headstock of the instrument.
          And thirdly he wanted his Irish heritage displayed on the instrument hence the Celtic knots which I designed and inlaid onto the fingerboard as position markers.
