BLUE WALNUT
This is an interesting Concert Size Ukulele project that combines the beauties of a very Curly Walnut with the exquisiteness of Curly Maple tinted a light deco blue color in the finishing process. All this is matched with a genuine Honduran Mahogany soundboard for great sound.
The fingerboard is a reddish color Rosewood with bone fret markers. The tuning machines are geared Peg-Head brand 4:1 ratio tuners. The back (as typical on a Pohaku) is well arched and the finish is a smooth buffed out lacquer.
Its sound is strong in the mid-range as is typical of a Mahogany instrument with a nice flat frequency response and it projects well and plays very easily.
Overall it measures about 23 ½” long and it weighs almost 19 ozs. A Hard Shell case is included.
