This was the very first attempt I had with making a deco instrument. This one hails from way back in 1996 and was built in Hawaii for a juried Hawaiian Woodshow where it took top honors in the musical instrument division that year beating out even the entries by the Kamaka Ukulele people!
Currently this instrument resides in Japan.
It is built from lesser know Hawaiian woods, Cuban Mahogany, Ahakea, Breadfruit and Milo.
